The AAN was established in 1948 in St. Paul, MN as a not-for-profit medical specialty society serving neurologists and the neuroscience community. Today the AAN employs a staff of approximately 100 professional and administrative employees committed to advancing the art and science of neurology and promoting the best possible care for patients with neurological disorders.

Director, Publications
The Director of Publications supports the mission of AAN and its affiliated organizations (Academy) by: Coordinating the business aspects of the Academy’s overall publishing program; Coordinating the development of new revenue opportunities from publishing, both print and digital, and product development; Advising the Academy on Academy publications and products and publishing opportunities and challenges; Supervising executive editors and monitoring editorial direction of individual Academy publications and related products; and Serving as primary business liaison to the Academy’s publishers with respect to the Academy’s overall publishing program. ...
