Insurance 101 and the Medical Malpractice Basics for Neurologists- 10/11, 12-1PM CT
This presentation will provide an overview of practice-related medical liability risk and strategies to manage that risk. Information about medical professional liability insurance (such as types of liability insurance policies, the insurance contract and components of the policy) will also be provided.

Mr. Cash joined the PRMS Risk Management team after serving as an Assistant Public Defender.
He provided trial consultation and representation in cases involving significant mental health issues and represented clients in civil commitment proceedings. Mr. Cash has been responsible for educating professionals on a variety of healthcare topics, including training defense attorneys to represent clients with disabilities. Mr. Cash also worked as a paramedic for many years in the emergency services field and on the critical care transportation team of a major hospital. Mr. Cash received his law degree from Quinnipiac College School of Law and his Master of Laws in mHealth Law from DePaul University School of Law. Mr. Cash regularly contributes to publications and speaks at national seminars on risk management in neurology and psychiatry. He also offers risk reduction strategies to neurologists and psychiatrists via the Risk Management Consultation Service.
