Mentorship Program Guidelines

Participation in the program is governed by the CNRF Mentorship Terms and Conditions. As a participant in the CNRF Mentorship Program, the following terms and conditions will apply:

• AAN has set up a CNRF Mentor Program whereby residents can contact neurologists practicing in subspecialties.
• All mentors are unpaid volunteers of the CNRF Mentor Program; they make no guarantees or promises regarding any advice imparted to residents.
• AAN has not interviewed the mentor or resident and makes no representation as to the suitability of their participation.
• AAN makes no offer, representation, guarantee or solicitation on behalf of the mentor or resident and makes no claim as to the quality of any mentor or their suitability for providing guidance, career advice, or professional development advice.
• Any mentoring session(s), whether it is online, via telephone, or face to face meeting, is an agreement created solely between the mentor and the resident, entirely apart from the AAN and that any contact is undertaken at your own risk and responsibility.
• The mentors and residents accept that AAN is not liable to for any cost, damage or liability in relation to, or loss caused by or as a result of, CNRF Mentor Program.
• Both the mentor and resident will keep confidential any information received or obtained as a result of participating in the program that is identified as or would be reasonably expected to be confidential, unless they agree otherwise.
• All participants agree to comply with all HIPAA requirements concerning the disclosure of all patient information.
