Program Description: This program is a webinar “Incentive Programs and Penalties: What Do They Mean For My Practice?“ presented live on Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 12:00-1:30pm ET. It begins with 60-minutes of lecture followed by 30-minutes of questions and answers.

Learning Objectives: Upon completion, participants should be able to: • Understand the basics of the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS), Medicare Electronic Prescribing (eRx) Incentive Program, and Medicare & Medicaid Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Programs • Prepare their practice for upcoming dates and deadlines • Balance earning incentives and qualifying for multiple incentive programs • Discover how to successfully avoid penalties between all programs • Identify AAN resources to better prepare their practice

Accreditation: The American Academy of Neurology Institute (AANI) (fka, American Academy of Neurology) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Evaluation (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education (CME) for physicians.

American Medical Association Physician Recognition Award™ The AAN/AANI designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1.5 credits of AMA PRA Category1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only those hours of credit that they actually spend in the educational activity.

Instructions: Instructions on how to access the webinar will be sent directly via email approximately 48 hours prior to the live event. This will include any website and/or dial-in instructions. The recording of the live webinar is presented in video format with informative slides and narration by the course director Gregory Esper, MD, MBA. Controls for pausing, forwarding and reversing through the presentation are presented at the bottom of the screen. Following the webinar, participants will be required to submit a brief evaluation of the event to obtain CME credits.
