AAN Committees

Academy committees and subcommittees are made up of more than 330 volunteer AAN members dedicated to achieving the AAN's goal of providing and promoting the best possible care for patients with neurological disorders.

Committees and subcommittees carry out the business of the AAN, covering a range of activities including education, practice, and legislative affairs.

Apply for an AAN Committee

AAN committee volunteers are appointed to their positions by the President-elect prior to the start of his/her term. Should vacancies arise after the term commences, the President will review the committee interest list.

The terms for the next cycle of committees begins March 24, 2013 and concludes on April 25, 2015. Committee terms are eligible for reappointment for two additional cycles (six years total service).

Your application is kept on file until April 25, 2015 to ensure that if an opening becomes available due to resignation, you will be considered for filling the vacancy.
