AAN's Delegation to the AMA
This delegation represents the AAN in the AMA House of Delegates (HOD), the policy–setting body of the AMA. The delegation participates in the introduction, debate, and votes on policy proposals during House of Delegates meetings, which occur in June and November of each year.

Delegation Membership
The AAN has four Delegates and two Alternate Delegates in the full HOD. In addition, one member participates in the Young Physicians Section, and one member participates in the Residents and Fellows Section.
Delegates – these individuals attend the entire AMA HOD Annual and Interim Meetings, are familiar with HOD policy and procedure, and are actively involved in HOD meetings.

Alternate Delegates – these individuals attend most of the AMA Annual and Interim Meetings and substitute for Delegates and perform all their roles if necessary.

- Tom Vidic, MD, FAAN – Elkhart, IN
Young Physicians Section (YPS) Delegate – this individual must be under 40 years old and/or in the first 6 years of practice. This individual attends the YPS meeting, which takes place in conjunction with the HOD Annual and Interim Meetings.

Resident and Fellow Section (RFS) Delegate – this individual must be a Resident or Fellow and attends the RFS meeting, which takes place in conjunction with the HOD Annual and Interim Meetings.
