Committee on Sections

The Committee on Sections oversees all section activity. Reviews planned activities of each section and assigns priority and budget parameters to respective activities. Assist in the pursuit of subspecialty certification and development of core curriculum for residency and fellowship programs.

Estimated time commitment: 3 hours per month plus meetings

Responsibilities:

1. Attend two meetings each year
1. January/February meeting to review all section business and approve action items, plan activities for Annual Meeting (1-2 days)
2. July/August meeting to review all section business and approve action items, review budgets for coming year (1-2 days)
2. Participate in conference calls with other committee members on relevant issues as they arise throughout the year
3. Oversee all section activity including plans, budgets, and assigning priorities
4. Assist in the pursuit of subspecialty certification
5. Develop core curriculum
6. Provide input on Annual Meeting education and science programs and practice parameters
