Develop and recommend policies for structure, format, and operations of all AAN education and scientific programs; recommend sites to the Board of Directors; coordinate and oversee planning with staff.

Estimated time commitment: 5 hours per month plus meetings

Responsibilities:

  1. Attend two meetings each year
    1. February meeting to review current plans for Annual Meeting and finalize items, review plans for next Annual Meeting, future site selection for Annual Meetings (2-3 days)
    2. August meeting to review prior Annual Meeting evaluations and data, review status of Annual Meeting education plans, review reports from Annual Meeting related committees and subcommittees, select future sites for Annual Meetings (1-2 days)
  2. Participate in conference calls with other committee members on relevant issues as they arise throughout the year
  3. Determine Annual Meeting site locations and make recommendations to Board of Directors
  4. Develop policies, structure, format, and operations of all AAN educational and scientific regional programs and Annual Meeting
