AAN Publishes Parkinson's Disease Quality Measures

The AAN has developed quality measures for the care of patients with Parkinson's disease. Designed to measure and improve the quality of care that is provided, these measures—the first developed solely by the AAN—were published in the November 30, 2010, edition of Neurology®. (April 2, 2011)

AAN Guideline Addresses Treatment for Nonmotor Parkinson's Symptoms

A new evidence-based clinical guideline published by the AAN in the March 16, 2010, edition of the journal Neurology® urges people with Parkinson's disease, their physicians, and caregivers to be aware of symptoms unrelated to movement. (April 2, 2011)

Movement Disorders Section Reviews Guideline on Treatment of Nonmotor Symptoms of Parkinson's Disease

The leadership of the Quality Standards Subcommitee (QSS) and the Therapeutics and Technology subcommittee (TTA) have recently proposed that each of the AAN sections be asked for a list of section reviewers who will review new AAN guidelines during the review process. (April 2, 2011)
