Barbara Scherokman, MD, FAAN, FACP

Dr Scherokman has been heavily involved with many AAN Committees, Sections, and Annual Meeting course presentations over the past 18 years. She has experience in academic neurology and research earlier in her career as a tenured faculty member at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Dr Scherokman currently practices neurology fulltime in northern Virginia and continues to teach medical students and residents. She has been a member of the AAN Board of Directors since 2003, during which time she gained a broader understanding of the Academy's strategic plan and the needs of AAN members. She has served as Chair of the Presidential Website Redesign Task Force, which completed the two-year redesign process in March of 2007.
