Advocate's History

Improving communication, education, and advocacy support for neurologists in the commonwealth of Kentucky lies at the heart of Postma's advocacy action plan. She credits her training at the Palatucci Forum for helping her successfully revive the Commonwealth Neurological Society and lead its first annual meeting in Lexington in October 2007. An AAN-coordinated talk on E/M coding and reimbursement was among the highlights. Postma is also using her training to help reduce mortality and morbidity associated with post-stroke aspiration pneumonia.
