International Attendee Summit Offers Opportunity to Network, Ask Question
The 2011 AAN International Attendee Summit, to be held Monday, April 11, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. during the 63rd Annual Meeting in Hawaii, provides an excellent opportunity for international attendees to socialize and network with one another. The free event also offers attendees a chance to make their voices heard on matters most important to them, and to get answers to their most pressing AAN-related questions. The event will be hosted by Heinz Reichmann, MD, FAAN, Chair of the AAN's International Subcommittee. Guest speakers will include Cynthia Comella, MD, FAAN, Chair of the AAN's Education Committee, as well as members of the AAN Board of Directors.

The 2010 International Attendee Summit was hosted by Hanns Lochmuller, Chair of the International Subcommittee. Guest presenters included AAN leaders Bruce Sigsbee, MD, FAAN, Stefan Pulst, MD, FAAN, Cynthia Comella, MD, FAAN, Massimo Pandolfo, MD, and Donna Bergen of the World Federation of Neurology. Approximately 60 guests were in attendance, and known countries represented at the meeting were Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China, India, Nigeria, Serbia, South Africa, United Kingdom, and the United States. This free event for international meeting attendees provided an excellent opportunity for socialization and networking, and allowed international members to make their voices heard on important issues. AAN leaders and staff were available to answer AAN-related questions and provide guidance on annual meeting programs.
