Professional Standing Component of Maintenance of Certification (MOC)

To show evidence of professional standing in order to meet this requirement of Maintenance of Certification (MOC), the ABPN requires that diplomates hold a license to practice medicine in at least one state, commonwealth, territory, or possession of the United States or province of Canada. The license must be maintained, even if the licensee is out of the country for extended periods of time. All medical licenses must be active and unrestricted.
