Program Description

By attending this session, you will learn how to plan for and select an Electronic Health Record, how to deal with and select a vendor, how your physicians and staff will use the system and how the system can be integrated into practice operations. Actual examples of the implementation of an Electronic Health Record will be provided, including helpful hints and lessons learned. One can never be over prepared for a carrier audit. You will learn about:

  • The various local carrier audit programs available
  • How to prepare for them and respond to them
  • How to use the information on your carriers' website to initiate your own pre-audit and education program
  • Proper preparation and timely response, which are key to successfully responding to an audit
  • Obtaining an update on the Recovery Audit Contractors (RACs) and other relevant issues related to compliance

As an attendee you should obtain information on the fundamentals and processes required to manage a neurology practice during these challenging economic times. Information obtained in this session will allow you to be proactive in managing your practice and better enable you to anticipate problems before they occur.
