PRACTICE MANAGEMENT 102: Coding and Billing—A Case-Based Approach

Gain a solid grasp of the basics of practice management; learn how to code diagnosis and neurological E/M and procedures accurately; know how to submit clean claims to reduce claim denial; and know how to appeal rejected claims.
Program Description
A basic understanding of coding, billing, and claims submission is fundamental to the clinical practice of medicine in any environment. Faculty will discuss the core principles of these topics and present detailed information unique to the practice of neurology, including ICD-9 diagnosis coding, evaluation and management service coding, diagnostic and procedure coding, and claims submission using a case-based approach. The cases will also illustrate how to apply AAN Practice Guidelines to the care of individual patients.
