Consortium of Neurology Residents and Fellows Mission Statement

1. Strengthen the neurology educational experience by providing support to residents at this juncture in their careers
2. Increase resident participation in the AAN by creating an early and active link between AAN and neurology residents
3. Create a venue that gives residents access to mentors within the AAN beyond their residency program
4. Create a venue that allows residents to communicate with each other across programs to share ideas and professional knowledge
5. Promote and develop future leaders for AAN
6. Maintain a strong liaison with the Graduate Education Subcommittee (GES) of the AAN
• Education Committee by the CNRF Chair becoming a member of the GES during the CNRF Chair's term
7. Develop an organization that focuses on educational issues
8. Provide structure for residents to interact with medical students to interest them in the study of neurology
9. Become part of the AAN education continuum that provides organizations for students, residents, and educators at the clerkship and the residency level
