The Education Tab in Depth

[Return to Guide to AAN.com Table of Contents]

Neurological Education is one of the primary missions of the American Academy of Neurology. Although this mission extends primarily to members of the AAN, the AAN extends its mission of neurological education to K-12 students, college students, medical students, residents, fellows, neurologists in practice and academia, and non-neurological physicians. The Education section of AAN.com is the place where both members and non-members can learn of the scope and breadth of neurological education opportunities created by the AAN. This educational mission is delivered in three main venues: the Annual Meeting, the regional meetings, and online.

The Education home page contains navigation links to the section's resources on the left, the top practice-related story of the day and the Education News Stand in the center, and, in the right-sided pods, links to further information, featured programs and related areas. Test Your Knowledge, an interactive online quiz created by the Education Committee, is also in the rightmost column. Updated frequently, this popular item has high educational value. CME credit may become available for this feature in the future.

NeuroTracker

NeuroTracker lets you keep track of all your ABPN-mandated maintenance of certification (MOC) requirements, including continuing medical education (CME) credits, performance in practice progress, and self-assessment activities. NeuroTracker helps you keep track of AAN-specific and non-AAN activities. AAN activities are automatically fed into NeuroTracker; all you have to do to tally your non-AAN activities is simply log in and enter them.
