Quality Measures
Measurement Sets
There are several different measurement sets in different stages of completion. The AAN has completed measurement sets on stroke and stroke rehabilitation, Epilepsy and Parkinson's Disease. Currently, measures on the care of patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and distal symmetric polyneuropathy are still in the development stage. There are also measurement sets developed by the Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement (PCPI) along with measurement sets as part of the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS).

Quality Resources
Resources are an essential tool to participating and reporting appropriately for various initiatives. The AAN has compiled tools available for different reporting initiatives.
Choosing Wisely
The AAN has agreed to join the Choosing Wisely® campaign, a project initiated by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Foundation to promote appropriate medical decision-making and the stewardship of health care resources.
