HHS Announces Electronic Health Record Demonstration Project

The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) has announced a demonstration project to encourage small and medium-sized practices to adopt electronic health records (EHR). Financial incentives will be available to participating physician practices.

The demonstration will be conducted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and open to participation by up to 1,200 physician practices beginning spring of 2008. For more information visit the HHS website.
