Academy Board Member Testifies Before Congress

The US House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee invited AAN Board member Bruce Sigsbee, MD, FAAN, to testify on behalf of the Academy during a hearing focusing on health care quality and cost control on Thursday, April 2. Sigsbee testified about his experience as a practicing neurologist and the consequences of the current Medicare fee schedule. Sigsbee, nominated as President Elect of the AAN and AAN Professional Association, is the chair of the Governance Subcommittee and of BrainPAC.

This invitation was extended by both the majority and minority parties after Sigsbee met with key members of Congress before and during Neurology on the Hill.
