2010 AAN Awards Applications Now AcceptedPublished on August 26, 2009 Apply now for a 2010 AAN Award and be recognized for your work in neurology. The Academy offers an array of scientific and nonscientific awards to choose from. The deadline for scientific awards is November 2, 2009. Deadlines for nonscientific awards vary. Visit the Awards web page and select your area of interest. Get your application started now! The AAN encourages you to apply for two top awards: Jon Stolk Award in Movement Disorders for Young Investigators and the Norman Geschwind Prize in Behavioral Neurology. The Jon Stolk Award recognizes young investigators who have made significant contributions to movement disorders research. The award is named for Dr. Jon Stolk, a driving force in the drug development field for Parkinson's disease. The Norman Geschwind Prize in Behavioral Neurology is named for Geschwind, who is widely credited with the development of modern behavioral neurology. He was both a researcher and mentor, having a profound effect on those that worked with him. Geschwind's work helped to establish the connection between behaviors and structures in the brain. Recipients of the Stolk Award and Geschwind Prize will be recognized at the 62nd Annual Meeting in Toronto, April 10 through 17, 2010, and will receive:
