Research Award in Geriatric Neurology

Sponsored by the AAN and the AAN Geriatric Neurology Section.

This award is intended to stimulate activity and encourage research in the fields that are of interest to geriatric neurology research. The award recognizes individuals in the early stages of their careers who have made an independent contribution to geriatric neurology research.

Presentation

Recipient will receive the award during the Geriatric Neurology Section meeting at the 62nd AAN Annual Meeting.

Recipient will receive:

• Certificate of recognition and $500 prize

Eligibility

• Must be a resident, fellow, or junior faculty member within 10 years of residency or fellowship at the time of submission
• Must have carried out independent research (clinical, basic, or multidisciplinary) in the field of geriatric neurology

Application Procedure

Applicants should submit one complete set of the following materials:

1. Completed application form
2. Current curriculum vitae
3. Letter summarizing the following:
   • Focus of the research program
   • Independent contributions made in the field of geriatric neurology
   • Reasons why applicant should receive the award
4. Optional appendix of up to three relevant publications
