Participants should be able to: select the most appropriate EEG techniques for diagnosis of epilepsy and other neurological disorders; recognize commonly encountered and clinically important EEG and long-term monitoring findings in children and adults; avoid common pitfalls, such as misinterpretation of artifacts and normal variants; and apply the results of EEG studies to clinical care of patients with epilepsy and other neurologic disorders.
