Participants should be able to understand the major benefits and limitations of currently available Parkinson's disease therapies; optimize the medical management of patients with Parkinson's disease; explain some of the major myths and misconceptions about Parkinson's disease therapies; understand the efficacy and limitations of current treatments; recognize the common motor and nonmotor complications of Parkinson's disease therapy; implement strategies to minimize and mitigate motor and nonmotor complications of Parkinson's disease treatments; describe the unmet needs in Parkinson's disease management; explain the types of treatments for Parkinson's disease that are in the pipeline, and how they may address these unmet needs.
