Participants should have greater understanding of the new classification and diganostic criteria for sleep disorders, and the role of home sleep testing in the diagnosis of sleep disordered breathing. Participants should have greater awareness of the relationship between parasomnias and neurologic disorders, and between head injury and disturbances of sleep. They should be more adept in understanding and managing patients with narcolepsy.
