Neurology MOC Prep Course

The online Neurology MOC Prep Course is designed to help neurologists prepare for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) recertification exam. Materials for the course are based on the content outline used by the ABPN for the cognitive expertise component (Part III) of MOC.

Course Design

The course is designed in a convenient online format, allowing you to take it in your own time, at your own pace.  The course consists of the following three elements:

  • Syllabi on the 14 most heavily weighted categories from the ABPN content, which cover new and updated science and therapies to bring you up to date.
  • Audio interviews from syllabi authors.
  • 100 multiple-choice question self-assessment exam with feedback by subspecialty areas and suggestions for further reading and comparative peer performance results.

CME: Up to 15 Self-Assessment CME credits

Learning Objectives

As a result of this self-assessment activity, the learner will be able to:

  • Identify areas of neurology that require more focused study and review in preparation for the recertification examination.
  • Self-assess knowledge after completion of the educational program to further focus study and review.
  • Demonstrate improved competency and performance in clinical practice and patient outcomes based on the application of new and reviewed information derived from the educational course in their clinical practice, as well as for successful recertification and continued maintenance.
