Compensation Committee

The American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Board of Directors delegates responsibility to the Compensation Committee for overseeing the AAN executive total compensation program and approving all compensation, incentives, and benefit arrangements for the Chief Executive Officer. It also delegates responsibility to the Executive Director Review Committee for the annual performance review of the Executive Director.

The American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Board of Directors delegates responsibility to the Compensation Committee for overseeing the AAN executive total compensation program and approving all compensation, incentives and benefit arrangements for the Chief Executive Officer. It also delegates responsibility to the Executive Director Review Committee for the annual performance review of the Executive Director.

Responsibilities

  • Review compensation philosophy and make changes as needed.
  • Review Executive Director compensation and recommend any additional adjustments to the base salary to the board for approval.
  • Annually review incentive plan along with metrics and confirm end of year payout.
  • Document any decisions surrounding changes to base, incentive and total compensation for Executive Director with supporting data on comparable organizations.
