Requirements

Apply for senior status if you've been an AAN member for five years, are fully retired, disabled, or working less than 15 hours per week of professional activity.

To apply for Senior membership, complete an application and return it to Member Services

Senior members can also join the Senior Member Consortium ("Consortium") to ensure continued involvement in the neurology profession by:

  • Sharing experiences and expertise
  • Holding discussions on preparing for a life transition
  • Sharing possible second career paths and volunteer opportunities
  • Discussing ways to financially prepare for retirement

The Consortium has also assisted AAN senior members in remaining involved in AAN activities. The Consortium, currently at approximately 1,600 members, meets once a year at the AAN's Annual Meeting.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Senior Member Consortium, please contact Member Services (800) 879-1960 or (612) 928-6000 .
