Training will be given in the assessment and management of acute and chronic pain in a wide variety of outpatients. Training will be provided by one of California's leading pain management specialists as well as conferences and continuing education programs. This program has trained 4-5 fellows each year for several years. This unique private practice setting provides the opportunity for the fellow to not only learn pain management, but also to come to understand and contribute to the building of a successful private practice through its currently rapidly expanding offices, and to potentially secure a permanent position with the practice at the completion of the fellowship.
