| This is a fellowship in Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology. The fellowship is part of the Veterans Affairs Departments Advanced Fellowship Program. The Baltimore VA is the core site of the VA MS Centers of Excellence – East. The Advanced Fellowship Program in Multiple Sclerosis provides two years (with the possibility of extension to a third year) of post-residency research, education, and clinical learning opportunities to eligible physicians. Fellows will be trained through the clinical care of patients with multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune neurologic conditions (i.e. NMO, MOGAD, Autoimmune Encephalitis, sarcoidosis, etc.) treated at the MSCoE – East at the Baltimore VA Medical Center and its academic affiliate, The University of Maryland, Baltimore and the associated University of Maryland Medical Center and University of Maryland Center for Multiple Sclerosis Treatment and Research and UM Clinical Center for Autoimmune Neurology. Fellows will also receive training in research methods and will be expected to complete a research project. Graduates are expected to be role models in leading, developing, conducting, and evaluating innovative research, education, and clinical care in the fields related to MS. | |
