| The Cleveland Clinic Epilepsy Fellowship offers rigorous, learner-centric training in all aspects of epilepsy care for those committed to excellence in patient care, scholarship, and leadership. Fellowship begins with a dedicated, intensive 12-week epilepsy course to set a solid foundation. The fellowship offers comprehensive clinical experience treating patients with epilepsy and related disorders in all inpatient and outpatient contexts. The Cleveland Clinic is among the nation’s largest level 4 epilepsy centers, offering unrivaled exposure to the most complex cases, a high volume of surgical cases, and balanced well with routine and diagnostic care. There is exceptional instruction in functional neuroanatomy, brain connectivity, presurgical evaluation, surgical treatment, neuromodulation strategies, and cutting-edge therapies for pharmacoresistant epilepsy. Collaboration with dedicated epilepsy pharmacists enhances expertise in advanced medical management. Our ICU EEG monitoring and inpatient epilepsy consultation services – also among the largest in the country – provide extensive experience interpreting complex EEGs and managing seizures and refractory status in critically-ill patients. Fellows may pursue adult or pediatric epilepsy tracks, while gaining meaningful exposure to both. Strengths of the program include foremost the people who will be part of this apprenticeship (world-class epilepsy faculty, large expert multidisciplinary team, and a top-tier peer class). In addition, the clinical volume and variety of experiences, countless academic opportunities, dedication to education and the structured curriculum, individualization based on career aspirations, structured mentorship, integration of adult and pediatric care within our center, and available resources elevate this training. Graduates are board-eligible for ABPN epilepsy certification and prepared to excel as outstanding clinicians and leaders. | |
