This fellowship is a one-year program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Candidates must be board eligible or board certified in neurology or child neurology. This fellowship provides the opportunity for training and experience in the following areas: Performing and interpreting electromyographs (EMG) and nerve conduction studies, Single fiber EMG, Neuromuscular ultrasound, Reviewing muscles and nerve biopsies, Performing and interpreting electroencephalograms (EEG), Performing and interpreting evoked potential studies (somatosensory, auditory and visual), Intensive 24-hour video EEG monitoring, 24-hour ambulatory EEG monitoring, and Reading diagnostic nocturnal polysomnograms and the multiple sleep latency tests (MSLT) in the UC Davis Medical Center Sleep Disorders Laboratory. The UC Davis EMG lab is accredited by the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic medicine (AANEM). The UC Davis Medical Center Clinical Neurophysiology Laboratory and the Sleep Disorders Laboratory are fully accredited by the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society and the American Sleep Disorders Association, respectively.
