| IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR A 1-Year ACGME FELLOWSHIP IN VASCULAR NEUROLOGY AT THE KECK SCHOOL OF MEDICINE OF USC (USC/LA GENERAL) TO START JULY 1, 2026 The department of Neurology is seeking to fill one position in our one-year fellowship (PGY5) in Vascular Neurology starting July 1, 2026. The fellowship consists of 3 fellows. We are aiming to fill our third opening. Fellows (PGY5) will receive training in transient ischemic attack (TIA), acute and sub-acute ischemic stroke, and intracerebral hemorrhage, raised intracranial pressure and patients undergoing therapeutic hypothermia over 12 months. The fellowship will include training in clinical vascular neurologic cases with an emphasis on evaluation of stroke etiology and prevention of stroke and rehabilitation of stroke. In addition, training will include participation in pre and post-op management of neurosurgical and endovascular patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage, Moya Moya and other vascular diseases. The clinical activities are located at LA General Medical Center, Keck Hospital of USC and Kaiser Hospital of Los Angeles. This ACGME-accredited fellowship provides comprehensive clinical and academic training in all aspects of cerebrovascular disease, including acute ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, stroke prevention, neurocritical care, and endovascular triage. Program Highlights • High-volume comprehensive stroke center experience • Exposure to acute stroke codes, thrombolysis, and thrombectomy workflows • Dedicated inpatient stroke service and neuro ICU rotations • Advanced imaging interpretation (CTA/CTP/MRI) and secondary prevention training • Opportunities for research, quality improvement, and academic development • Multidisciplinary collaboration with neurosurgery, interventional neuroradiology, and critical care Also, educational fund, housing stipend, license fee reimbursement and other benefits.
