| This one year fellowship is a component of the Emory Stroke center, a multidisciplinary group of neurologists, neurosurgeons, and neurointerventionalists. The fellowship provides training in the management of a wide spectrum of cerebrovascular diseases and offers opportunities for both clinical an basic research. Available technologies include transcranial Doppler, CT/CTA, MRI/MRA, SPECT, and PET. Fellows will be encouraged to participate in various research efforts. Areas of interest to the group include thrombolytic therapy for ischemic stroke, medical and neurointerventional treatment of intracranial atherosclerosis, surgical versus medical treatment for intracranial hematoma, evaluation and treatment of coronary disease in patients with stroke, novel risk factors for stroke, and genetics of stroke. | |
