Education, Research, and Methodology
Participants should learn how to describe the key structural and social determinants contributing to health care disparities in neurology. Plus, a key discussion will be how to identify strategies used in NINDS HERN-funded projects to address disparities through community engagement, participatory design, and novel care models. We'll learn how to apply a framework for designing equity-focused neurological interventions grounded in implementation science and stakeholder collaboration, as well as evaluate success metrics and barriers in translating neuroscience research into community impact.
