Leadership, History of Neurology
Get inspired by neurologists of yore! This session will focus on historical examples of neurologists demonstrating exemplary leadership skills in times of crisis and how those lessons can apply to today’s leaders. Learn about neurology trailblazers, including: Dr. Betty Clements, who served as a Women Airforce Service Pilot during World War II before becoming the first woman trainee at Mayo Clinic to practice neurology; Dr. Mabel Masten, the first female committee member and fellow of the American Academy of Neurology; Sir Hugh Cairns, who revolutionized WWII head injury management and is credited with saving thousands of lives. Join us in person or listen in during your commute to the convention center. Breakfast treats included for in person attendees!
