August 18, 2017: Congressional Investigation Launched into MS Drug Prices

Yesterday, members of the US House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Reform announced the start of an in-depth investigation into the dramatic increases in costs for multiple sclerosis (MS) drugs. This development shows that the work the AAN has undertaken to address drug costs in the US is clearly working. The Academy is committed to ensuring that all neurology patients have access to the medications they need. The dramatic increases in the cost of MS therapies have put the recommended treatment out of reach for too many. We applaud Congress for recognizing this crisis. Please watch Capitol Hill Report for future developments.
